Exhibition of Photos Highlighting Vietnamese and Laotian World Heritage Sites

The Vietnamese Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibition and Vietnam Cultural Centre in Laos jointly organised an event that showcased 180 photos, including 160 capturing 26 heritages of Vietnam and four heritages of Laos. These photos featured iconic landmarks such as Hoi An ancient town, My Son sanctuary, Thang Long imperial citadel, Ha Long Bay, Hue court music, the ancient capital of Luang Prabang, Wat Phou world heritage site, Plain of Jars, and Khaen music. The exhibition, which showcased photographs taken by various Vietnamese and Lao photographers, effectively conveyed the current beauty, value, and vitality of these heritages. These images depicted the rich history, culture, ideas, knowledge, customs, beliefs, and aesthetics of both countries. The exhibition is currently open to the public in the capital and will remain so until the end of July. Afterward, it will be moved to other Lao localities. BlackPink to Perform at My Dinh Stadium in Born Pink Concerts

BlackPink, the South Korea’s girl band, will be performing at My Dinh Stadium as they have confirmed their Born Pink World Tour will come to Hanoi on July 29 and 30.  BlackPink confirmed their concerts in Hanoi. According to statistics from Touring Data, BlackPink’s Born Pink World Tour has become the highest-grossing tour by a female group in history, surpassing the legendary British girl group Spice Girls’ Spice World-2019 Tour, which made US$78.2 million over 13 sold-out shows. Meanwhile, the Born Pink tour has made US$78.5 million over 26 shows with 366,000 tickets sold and the tour has not yet finished. Vietnamese UN peacekeeping doctors organize spring festival in South Sudan

The festival featured a kite festival, a competition for Tet decorations and cooking skills, a buffet party, and a campfire.  This is the first time a Vietnamese hospital’s spring festival has been held during a UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan. Hiroko Hirahara, head of the UN Mission Field Office in South Sudan, and Brigadier General Mike Cooper Mujuni, Commander of Unity Military Region, joined the festival. All hospital departments worked together in four teams to prepare traditional Vietnamese cuisine, decorate Tet booths, participate in kite flying, and dance around the campfire. Through the spring festival, the Vietnamese doctors brought the Vietnamese Tet traditions, such as peach blossom, apricot blossom, banh chung , calligraphy, and the cuisine, closer to international friends.
