Hanoi Spring in the eyes of renowned artists

Hanoi Spring , an exhibition at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, Hanoi, showcases 36 unique artworks from renowned artists selected from the museum’s modern art and Hang Trong folk painting collections. Visitors have the opportunity to admire the exquisite artworks by prominent artists. Young Vietnamese artists draw inspiration from Japanese woodblock prints

There are 38 artworks created by young Vietnamese artists currently on display at the Temple of Literature. These unique pieces are inspired by Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints. The exhibition, titled “Dialogue with Japanese Ukiyo-e Woodblock Prints,” opened on January 23. Originating from the Edo period (1615-1868), these vibrant woodblock prints depict various scenes from everyday life in Japan. Ukiyo-e, which translates to “pictures of the floating world,” refers to the licensed brothel and theater districts in Japan’s major cities during the Edo period. Preparations for Global Rice Festival Completed

The occasion is expected to provide visitors with greater insights into the past, present, and future of the Vietnamese agriculture and rice industry. Currently, farmers in the locality are urgently completing the Vietnam Rice Road. The rice plants are put on display at the event. There are many rice varieties showcased on the road, including IR50404, OM 5454, Dai Thom 8, and ST 25. The exhibition Water Installation and Heritage of Hang Dau Water Tower will open on November 17 as part of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023. It is an art space of light installation made of recycled materials and a unique water sound system that reproduces the natural sound of water. The light installation expands the vision of the beautiful enclosures, while the materials, recycled from urban waste, emphasize the impact of the city on the natural environment. Open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the project was realized by architect Cao The Anh and artist Nguyen Duc Phuong. Through the exhibition, the artists hope to highlight the role of water in life and the connection between man and nature and to make people aware of the importance of preserving the natural environment. Winning UOB Painting Award with Artwork of St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Hanoi

As the winner in the Established Artist category, Minh Tien will receive a cash prize of VND500 million (US$20,300) and will compete with winning artists from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand for the prestigious UOB Southeast Asian Painting of the Year 2023 Award. “Connecting Hanoi’s Art Scene: Bringing Together 80 International Artists from 30 Countries”

The Hanoi Art Connecting is happening at the Hanoi Architectural University from October 18 to 24. Vietnamese artist Vu Tuan Dat will be participating in Hanoi Art Connecting 2023. Hanoi Art Connecting (HAC) is now in its sixth edition, showcasing various artistic activities such as painting workshops, printmaking, sculpture, installation, and more. This year, the event brings together 80 international artists from 30 countries and 70 artists from Vietnam. Hanoi Art Connecting is an annual event held in Vietnam and other Asian countries. The Reunion of Colors 2 exhibition was inaugurated in Hanoi on October 7th. The event showcases a collection of remarkable watercolor paintings and sculptures that portray landscapes, people, and cultures.
