Nghinh Phong Tower Square wins Asian Townscape Award in south-central Vietnam

Cao Dinh Huy, chairman of the People’s Committee of Tuy Hoa City in Phu Yen, announced on Saturday that the city was awarded the 2023 Asian Townscape Award at a ceremony in Busan, South Korea on Friday. Out of the nine projects from five different countries, including Japan, China, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, Nghinh Phong Tower Square is the only representative from Southeast Asia to receive the award, according to the Tuy Hoa administration. The tower square is located in the heart of the coastal park in Tuy Hoa, and it was inspired by the local tourist site Ganh Da Dia, also known as the Reef of Plates, as well as the legend of Lac Long Quan and Au Co, the ancestors of the current Vietnamese people. The tower includes two columns that are 35 and 30 meters high, representing Lac Long Quan and Au Co. Miss Tourism World contestants eager for brocade costumes in Vietnam

The brocade costume collection, created by designer Thach Linh, draws inspiration from ethnic Vietnamese costumes using silk combined with unique motifs and other accessories, all of which have been meticulously made by hand. The fashion show is the first activity of contestants of the Miss Tourism World pageant which is getting underway in Vietnam for the first time. As many as 71 contestants will go on a tour of several tourist destinations throughout the northern region, including Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Phu Tho, Moc Chau, and Vinh Phuc, with numerous activities ono schedule till November 26.
