The 2022 season runs from February 25 to November 19, with the competition drawing the participation of 13 football clubs from across the country. Nguyen Phi Hoang of SHB Da Nang FC claims the Best Young Player title.

The V.League 1 Awards is an annual event held after the end of the season with the aim of respecting the work and contributions of footballers and staff throughout the year. Pham Tuan Hai of Hanoi FC is honoured with the Best Goal of The Season award for his goal in extra time of the first half between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC in the 21st round of the competition.

The organisers also introduce the best line-up of the national premier league tournament including players from  Hanoi FC, Hai Phong FC, and Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC.

Along with players and coaches, the organisers also present awards to Nguyen Dinh Thai from Nghe An province for Best Referee and Best Referee Assistant to Pham Hoai Tam from Ho Chi Minh City.
